Commercial Biomanufacturing

STATE-OF-THE-ART cGMP BIOMANUFACTURING

Built for you by us

With our clinical-scale biologics contract manufacturing facility offering state-of-the-art production capabilities in San Antonio, Texas, Scorpius BioManufacturing is executing on a vision to construct a world-class commercial biomanufacturing facility that will deliver superior, flexible production capabilities through a combination of single-use and stainless steel bioreactors.

CLINICAL BIOMANUFACTURING CAPABILITIES

Like our San Antonio facility, the forthcoming commercial space will also utilize Scorpius’ modular design elements to offer flexible, cGMP-compliant commercial-scale manufacturing for a variety of types of products including mammalian and microbial-based treatments as well as CGT and various other biologics and large molecules.

This facility will be focused on the commercial-scale manufacturing of biodefense-focused large molecules and biologics therapeutics.

THE BENEFITS OF SINGLE-USE BIOREACTORS

Single-use bioreactors offer an alternative to stainless steel bioreactors that can be a more cost-effective method of production because of the decreased need for costly cleaning and cleaning validation practices that are required with the use of traditional bioreactors. Single-use systems also reduce the risk for contamination and cross-contamination, which allows for a quick changeover between batches.

COMMITTED TO AMERICAN-MADE

Our clinical-scale biomanufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas uses American-made equipment and consumables, and our new commercial biomanufacturing facility will demonstrate the exact same commitment to the Made in America ethos.
